The Languages of Abuse

The Languages of Abuse

The 2nd showing of our Education & Awareness Campaign, The Languages of Abuse, was filled with darted words, eloquent voices and astringent reality. We realize that every time this production is done, it will not look like the last. There is a responsibility to sharing the voices of survivors with care and in keeping with the integrity in which it was written. There is also a responsibility to the audience to give them the unfiltered truth in a way that won’t scare them off.

Our Board of Directors met the day after the event and we always ask the question, “Did the purpose and the message come through?” Our answer was, “Yes!” With always looking ahead at what can be improved, and what we will continue to implement, like art, this project is a fluid production and takes on a life of it’s own.

As we move into the Summer and Fall we anticipate at least two more shows this year in Volusia and Seminole County. We are currently looking for stories, poetry, or music from survivors in those areas.

You can view of the show on our YouTube Channel. We invite you to join our email list and keep up-to-date with all our future events and programs!

We can not do this without you!
